I know that when I counsel with God, He listens to my concerns. I know He listens because He loves me. I know He loves me because of the things that He has done on my behalf. He sent His Son down to earth to live and die for me; greater love hath no man than this. I know that my Savior loves me. His love has given me the opportunity to progress and develop traits that would be out of my reach without Him. He wants me to remember who I am and what I can become. For this reason He has sent prophets to the earth, to help guide and direct me towards Eternal Life. I know there is a living prophet today who acts as the mouthpiece of the Lord. He has also revealed in these latter days the words of ancient prophets. To them He has shown our day, and their words have helped me draw closer to God. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the Word of God. I know these things because of the grace of God has given them to me by His Spirit, and I testify that they are true in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
