my testimony

  • I want to bear my testimony of the truthfulness of the scriptures and the spiritual guidance it gives me in my life. Going through the changes I went through this year in my life, the Book of Mormon was one thing that I was able to turn to for comfort. The teachings and principles that are in the Book help to teach me what to do in times of trials. I am grateful for that. Through my prayers and the scriptures I can have answers and comfort to my questions and hard times. One of my favorite stories that stuck out to me when reading this semester was of the Stripling Warriors. They first had so much faith in their father in Heaven, and second their captain, Moroni Without the support of loved ones around them and the love of God they probably would have not been able to survive all the battles that they did. Their story amazes me and teaches me to rely on the Lord more. Maybe I will not fear death like the warriors did, but no matter what the situation I need to have faith in Jesus Christ that he will protect me from any situation I am in. Not only do I have a testimony of the scriptures but I also have a testimony of my Savior. This past year I have been able to rely on him so much. He has saved me from my sins and help me to grow in ways I could not even imagine. I have felt his spirit relentlessly pushing me along when I wanted to give up. He has so much love for me. I am so grateful for that. My hope and prayer is that I will take what I have learned from taking Book of Mormon and BYU-Idaho and continue to apply it to my life. I hope it can guide and bless me to make the right choices. Most importantly I think what I have learned from the Book of Mormon the most is to always have faith in Jesus Christ and remember that he will always listen to my prayers. I love my Father in Heaven. I feel blessed to be his daughter. I hope I can continue to make him proud. I know he is cheering for me, to do my best. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
