Romans 8:16-17 - "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." We are children of God. He has sent us here on earth so that if we do follow Jesus Christ, he will help us to be heirs of the kingdom. This is only possible through the restored priesthood. Jesus Christ came to this earth to atone for us. He will give us a new body for free, but he has commanded "all men that they must repent, and be baptized in his name, having perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they cannot be saved in the kingdom of God." 2 Nephi 9:23 Jesus Christ is the only way. We must listen to his voice. He is perfect, he loves us. I know that these things are true from reading both the Book of Mormon and the Bible and through pondering and praying about these things. Anyone can receive this witness. James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God..." "Ask and ye shall receive..." I know its true.
