Cool blog!

I wanted to add my conviction of the Savior as well.  I know that real happiness comes from loving others, and being loved.  Life is a balance, and Christ understood that.  He taught that in His sermons, and He tries to help us understand it through His apostles and prophets today.  We have to realize that we are not the central figures of this universe, but we are merely a part of a huge team, all striving for the same goal, whether we remember it or not.  By following Christ's teachings and living our lives in harmony with fundamental principles of Deity and nature, we can experience the highest degree of joy.

One thing I've learned is that even if you don't believe in Christ, Moroni, or Mohammed, the principles of the gospel still make sense.  People are happiest when they're concerned about the welfare of other people, and live their lives without worrying about their own problems.  It's when we accept this principle that everything else in the gospel makes sense.  You can go through as many conservative motions as you want to, check off all the "boxes", and be like the Pharisees.  But when the Savior comes around, your heart will be the only thing that matters.  I love the free-spirited obedience of Jesus.

I know, as I have seen in so many people and especially in myself, that putting God first in our lives makes all the difference.  If we truly forget everything, and follow Christ- id est, live a life of charity, rather than a life of worry, money, selfishness, or even letter-of-the-law extremism, then our eyes will be opened, our hearts will be filled, and the grace of God will abound all around us.

Jesus is real, has a real personality, a real sense of humor, and a real desire for all of us to be happy.  My testimony is that following His example will bring us real happiness, and an eternal life with our happy God, our Heavenly Father.

As my non-Mormon friend says, "It's all about love, man."

I have to agree.
