I Believe

I believe that Jesus, the son of God was born of Mary in Bethlehem, that he was ordained from before the foundation of this world to be our savior, I believe that Jesus was the god of the old that he led the children of Israel to the promised land, I believe that Jesus will lead us to our promised land if we but develop faith in him and his atonement. God protected and fought for the children of Israel, we today have this same promise of protection through the battles we face. he will not always take them away but through the enabling power of the atonement he will give us strength when we are too weak to stand. I know that Jesus is the Christ the only begotten of the father, One night many years ago he knelt in the garden of Gethsemane and some how took upon him the sins and pains of all mankind. He hung on the cross of Calvary and willingly gave his life there. on the 3rd day he rose conquering, and losing the bands of death. God the father and Jesus Christ appeared to the young boy Joseph Smith in answer to his humble prayer. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and was God's instrument in restoring his church on the earth in these latter days. In his holy name, Jesus Christ amen
