My Rock

My mom has always told me that a testimony is not a cute story, or an incredible spiritual experience. A testimony, she said, is you simply sharing what you know to be true. So here is what I know to be true.
I know that Christ lives and that he atoned for my sins. I know that because of his atonement, I can repent and me made whole. Also through his atonement, the Savior will always know exactly how I feel, because he has been there.
He was and will be the only perfect person to ever walk this earth. Every day that I live, I know that he is there for me.
I know that he hears all my prayers, whether it be me crying out in sorrow, or just asking for help finding my keys, he hears them.
I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that God loved us enough to give his only son so that we might return to live with him again.
I know that God loved us enough to give us prophets and parents during this hard time to guide us in a turbulent world. I know that although the world is falling apart and wickedness reigns, that we can still call on the Lord and make our own holy place around us.
I know that the Book of Mormon is meant for our day, and that there is so much for us to learn written inside its pages. Although the stories in the Book of Mormon may be scary, they offer us hope that if we are faithful and rely on the Lord we will be blessed and protected.
I know that Christ loves me and all of us. He only wants us to succeed and be the best that we possibly can.
I know that I am inadequate, but the Lord knows my heart and through him I will become perfected. I will forever be grateful for that. Amen.
