I Believe In Christ

As I have thought about how to express my testimony for the Savior many words and thoughts have came to my mind: atonement, love, peace, a straight path back home, strength, ever lasting joy, and many other words. Christ is the Rock and the way back to my Heavenly Father. I have come to know this through experiences in my life, through prayer, and study of the scriptures. This fall semester studying the 1st half of the Book of Mormon has strengthened my testimony 100 fold -- will continue to strengthen as I continue to study. The more I read the Book of Mormon, the more I understand my Savior and the qualifications back to my Heavenly Father. The Book of Mormon is another testament (testimony) of Jesus Christ.

When I decided that I needed to find out for myself if the Book of Mormon was a true and correct book, the answer I received was a sweet and simple one "You know it is true." That was that and that is all I needed. I know that the Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ; every part of the book has a purpose to lead back to Heavenly Father, and the way is Jesus Christ.

I know that the atonement is real. Christ bled personally for my sins, trials, and has felt everything I have ever felt (whether it be joy, sadness, hurt, sickness, etc). This semester I have come to a greater understanding of the atonement through some personal experiences in my life. It is a hard and painful process but once it is used correctly it brings relief, joy, peace, hope, and much more. Imagine how much more painful it would be without the atonement; standing in front of Heavenly Father in shame -- remembering all your sins, without anyone showing you mercy or standing up for you. That is a pain I never want to bare! I know Christ will be by my side being my merciful judge because he KNOWS me! I am far from perfect but I am so grateful for a perfect being who took my sins upon Him so that I could come home (its not fair but the Father knows that, He just wants me and all His Children to CHOOSE to come home).

Christ's raises me up when I am down. When troubles come and I feel like giving up there is hope! There is a way for ALL. You must believe the Savior bled and suffered for you! He loves you greatly and no matter how far you have gone off course there is a ways back; have faith to know that you are part of his plan! Don't listen to shouting of the world (Satan) but to the quiet and ever constant whispering of the spirit testifying to you that there is a Heavenly Father who has sent a Son that we may follow, but it is our choice to follow!

I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, He lives and has paved a way back to the Father. They are reaching for all of us (me and you) with out stretched arms!

I Believe In Christ!
